4) George Miller – Planet Hulk
The Hulk has been notoriously difficult to adapt on the big screen, which came as a surprise to many considering the gargantuan success Bruce Banner found on the 70’s TV show. The only truly successful cinematic Hulk to date is the one Marvel used in The Avengers, casting Mark Ruffalo as the world weary scientist, but legal issues have prevented the studio from releasing another solo Hulk movie.
The green skinned goliath is one of Marvel’s most iconic heroes, so understandably, hardcore fans on the internet have all thrown in their two cents regarding what their ideal Hulk movie would look like and the one storyline people come back to again and again is Planet Hulk.
[zergpaid]The epic tale begins with Earth’s heroes and their decision to send Hulk away to another planet in order to keep him out of trouble. Upon landing, Hulk acclimatizes to his new surroundings, eventually conquering the entire planet before deciding to return home and seek revenge against those who exiled him in the first place.
Just look at the image above. Planet Hulk is literally the Mad Max of superhero stories, throwing the Hulk into an apocalyptic wasteland, so it makes perfect sense to bring George Miller on board to helm the project, particularly now as he’s still riding high off the phenomenal success of Mad Max: Fury Road.
