Only a few weeks remain until Taken 2 lands in theaters worldwide and moviegoers have to be wonder whether Liam Neeson can strike it rich a second time with the character he’s now infamous for: Bryan Mills, the CIA agent with a particular set of skills.

Thanks to a new featurette released today, which goes behind the scenes of the film’s stunts, fans needn’t wait any longer to satisfy their curiosity.

Brief though it may be, enough is shown to make it clear that this is more than a cash-in on the success of the the original. That isn’t to say, however, that all those involved aren’t aware of the winning formula which they’ve stumbled upon. While it would stretch believability (who would stick around a man whose every loved one eventually gets kidnapped?), 20th Century Fox could keep the series going for at least another movie or two.

This is the role Neeson was born for, it coming so naturally to him that one starts to wonder if it’s not Neeson that’s the made-up character instead of Mills. If one watches the English dub of Ponyo, for instance, it’s difficult not to hear a little Mills in Neeson’s Fujimoto. Knowing this, the plot is only secondary to seeing Neeson do what he could easily make a career out of doing, which is putting that particular set of skills of his to use.

Check out the featurette below and make sure to catch Taken 2 when it hits theaters on October 5th.
