Warner Brothers is expected to have a big presence this year, as they're bringing some of their most anticipated projects to Hall H on Saturday morning at 10:30. Among the films scheduled are The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and, of course, Batman V Superman. We'll get to that superhero face-off in a minute, but would be wrong not to at least mention the second of next year's big DC projects: Suicide Squad. David Ayer is still filming the hotly-anticipated villain team-up, and while the Squad isn't officially on WB's schedule, we'd love for the cast - or even just Jared Leto's Joker - to make a surprise appearance and show off a bit of footage or glimpses at how actors like Margot Robbie or Will Smith will bring their characters to life.

7 Reasons Why Suicide Squad Will Be The Best Movie Of 2016

Comic-Con spoiled us rotten this year. The new Batman V Superman trailer surpassed all expectations, aside from Lex Luthor’s rat-tail hair of course, and the footage from Fox’s R-rated Deadpool movie blew the minds of everyone in the room. However, amongst all of the commotion, it’s easy to forget that another comic book trailer debuted at Comic Con too, one which could be the dark horse of ‘superhero’ movies and - whisper it - could even turn out to be the best movie of 2016.

1) Harley Quinn Is Everything

The Joker should be the star of Suicide Squad, right? If not, then Batman should come a close second. But the fact that everyone’s attention is on little old Harley Quinn speaks volumes about the character. Despite not appearing on the big screen before now, the Joker’s squeeze is a firm fan favourite, winning people over ever since she was first created exclusively for the 90’s Batman animated series.

Margot Robbie proved that she had both sex appeal and acting prowess in Wolf of Wall Street, two qualities that will be key to bringing the insane ex-psychiatrist to life. Fans are already raving over Harley Quinn’s costume and from what little we’ve seen so far, Robbie looks like she’s nailed the part. Of course, it’s still early days, but Robbie’s Harley Quinn could potentially have the same impact on pop culture that Ledger had all those years ago with his now legendary interpretation of the Joker.

In terms of pushing female comic book characters to the fore of cinematic movies, Wonder Woman has been the name on everyone’s lips and her first appearance in the Batman V Superman trailer was definitely mind blowing. However, with a unique mixture of cutesy looks and psychotic rage, Harley Quinn could easily steal the spotlight out from under her in Suicide Squad.
