6) A New Type Of Aquaman
Despite DC’s efforts to reboot Aquaman in 2011, decades of jokes being made at his expense in pretty much all forms of media has led to him being labelled as a lame superhero who talks to fish.
While it’s true that Arthur Curry can communicate with and control them, he’s not exactly sitting at the bottom of the sea having a chat with a flounder in his spare time. He’s actually a bona fide badass, and that’s something which is made clear in this trailer for Justice League.
As well as not taking any sh*t from Bruce, Aquaman can be seen swigging vodka and being swallowed by a wave, all of which makes him look extremely cool. Throw in the fact that his version of being a hero is helping starving villagers, and it seems like we’re getting a very different take on this DC mainstay.
