Jurassic World was a box office smash, but not everyone loved Colin Trevorrow's resurrection of the franchise. Between that and the fact that The Book of Henry has been torn apart by critics, many Star Wars fans are now concerned that the filmmaker may not be the right man to be at the helm of Star Wars: Episode IX.
The focus may be on Spider-Man: Homecoming right now, and understandably so, but Wonder Woman just had another solid weekend at the box office and has passed a pretty major benchmark as a result. Pulling in another $10.1 million domestically (an incredible amount considering the competition) and $6.8 million overseas, the movie has now earned $745.8 million worldwide.
Spider-Man: Homecoming has been a massive hit at the box office, far exceeding expectations this past weekend both in North America and across the pond in many international territories. Domestically, the reboot has earned an impressive $117 million to date, while its overseas haul helped the movie tally up an amazing cume of $257 million. Not bad, right?
Now that Avengers: Infinity War has hit the streets of Atlanta, we're finally getting to see something from the highly anticipated 2018 release. Granted, all we've got so far are set photos, but they've certainly been exciting and this latest batch feature a pretty good look at Iron Man's armour along with stars Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) and Wong (Benedict Wong).
Manu Bennett made his return to Arrow in the season 5 finale, something we never thought would happen after past comments he's made about the show. The actor really didn't seem happy about the way Slade Wilson was handled during his last appearance and that seemingly soured him on the Arrowverse for good. Or so we thought.
Originally set to be released in October 2016 - yes, we're telling the truth - Gambit has been stuck in development hell for quite some time now. While the movie wasn't on the wishlist of many X-Men fans, a treatment written by comic book scribe Chris Claremont and a lead star in the form of Channing Tatum pointed to big things for the spinoff.
Everyone may be busy thinking about Wonder Woman right now (not to mention its chances of box office success), but with Spider-Man: Homecoming right around the corner, we'll no doubt begin to see much, much more from the Marvel Studios reboot over the next few weeks.
Spider-Man's debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Civil War was a triumph, but the wall-crawler had only a minor cameo in the grand scheme of things. Fans are obviously hoping he'll have a larger role to play in Avengers: Infinity War then, and based on new comments from Tom Holland, he definitely will.
The Uncharted movie has been in the works for years now, but it's fair to say that none of us expected it to become a prequel focusing on a young Nathan Drake rather than depicting a version of the adult adventurer we all know and love from the hit PlayStation video game series, right?
Earlier this week, Vanity Fair very nearly brought the internet to a screeching halt when they debuted their Star Wars: The Last Jedi cover story, which arrived with a handful of absolutely gorgeous photos and a treasure trove of trivia and tidbits about the upcoming film and the franchise as a whole. Of course, it also fuelled a lot of speculation and one of the things that got people talking the most was that shot of Mark Hamill and the late Carrie Fisher.
