Andrew Garfield Wants To Bring Spider-Man To The Avengers 2

Comic Book Movie is reporting that actor Andrew Garfield, who's set to portray Spider-Man in the upcoming film The Amazing Spider-Man, has revealed to Vulture that he'd like to join the cast of The Avengers 2. Likely, this is just wishful thinking on Garfield's part but it's still nice to see that the actor has some interest in coming on board.

Comic Book Movie is reporting that actor Andrew Garfield, who’s set to portray Spider-Man in the upcoming film The Amazing Spider-Man, has revealed to Vulture that he’d like to join the cast of The Avengers 2. Likely, this is just wishful thinking on Garfield’s part but it’s still nice to see that the actor has some interest in coming on board.

Check out what he had to say below.

Q: Have you seen The Avengers? If Sony would let you assemble, would you? After all, Spidey eventually becomes a member of the team in the comics.

AG: I saw it, and I was blown away. And I’m going to see it again this weekend. I have no problem adding to the amount of money it’s making! [Laughs.] Joss Whedon is a genius, and it’s an incredible cast. I was very, very jealous, and I wanted to jump on the screen and play with them. It killed me that I wasn’t in it, but I understand why, and I’m not insulted. But hey, if Samuel L. Jackson wants to give me a shout, I’m there for the next one!

It’s not likely that this will happen as I don’t see the studios being able to make it work. Personally, I don’t think Sony would allow it, but who knows? With the gigantic success of The Avengers, anything is possible.

That being said, there are still a lot more heroes that would have an easier time joining the lineup than Spider-Man.

What do you think? Would you like to see Spidey join the team?
