Today we have our first look at Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Abbie Cornish and Anthony Hopkins in the upcoming thriller Solace. Courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter, the image shows the three actors in their FBI outfits confronting what looks to be a suspect.
Production is now wrapping up on the film, which was directed by 2 Rabbits helmer Afonso Poyart and scripted by James Vanderbilt and Peter Morgan, who gave the original script (by Ted Griffin and Sean Bailey) a re-write.
The story follows “a retired psychic crime analyst (Anthony Hopkins) who comes back for one more job with a younger agent (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). With the help of a woman played by Abbie Cornish, they must solve bizarre murders carried out by a serial killer (Colin Farrell), who has a few supernatural powers.
Depending on the route they go with this one, it could turn out to be a silly, forgettable thriller or, it can be a truly chilling tale. The talent involved is pretty solid  and though we’re not expecting anything groundbreaking with this one, it could be a fun little popcorn flick. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Look for Solace sometime in 2014. Until then, tell us, what do you think of this one?
