Ant-Man And The Wasp’s Evangeline Lilly Wants To Team Up With Black Panther’s Okoye

Lilly initially cited the fact that she used to think it would be fun for the Wasp to encounter the Hulk, due to the comedy that would stem from the little and large factor. However, she then teased that this is already touched on in The Wasp thanks to Ant-Man becoming Giant-Man and decided that her new pick would be Okoye, the kickass Wakandan general first seen in Black Panther.

“I used to say, because I was asked this question prior to this movie, and I used to say it’d be fun to see The Wasp with the Hulk.” Lilly revealed. “Because she’s so teeny and he’s so giant. But then we did Giant-Man and The Wasp, so that’s out. I don’t know, but I just personally have an enormous crush on Okoye, and would love a chance to hang out with Danai [Gurira] as much as possible. So let’s just say that.”

Another reason why Lilly would love to work opposite Gurira is that she wants to get that rumored all-female Avengers movie off the ground. Famously, the idea was first touted by Tessa Thompson before being piled on by fans, leaving Kevin Feige to play down the talks. Nonetheless, it sounds like it’s still a priority for Lilly.

“Besides the fact that I am personally going to continue to keep the rumor and gossip about an all-female Avengers movie going.”

Wasp will make her superhero’ing debut in Ant-Man and the Wasp, which flies into theaters on July 6th. Beyond that? Well, we can’t say for sure, but Lilly is already looking forward to her next outing as the character.
