Black Widow Reports For Duty In Latest Avengers 4 Set Snaps

Avengers 4 continues to lens in Atlanta, and the latest set snaps of Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow have arrived online.

Proving those initial rumors to be true, on Sunday we caught a glimpse of the Japan set being constructed for Avengers 4, Joe and Anthony Russo’s star-studded Marvel sequel due to arrive in two years’ time.

Indeed, the Russo Brothers have been shooting scenes on the streets of Atlanta for the past two weeks, during which time we’ve learned more about Paul Bettany’s involvement – yes, he’ll reprise the role of Vision even after Infinity War – in the 2019 sequel, along with Samuel L. Jackson casting doubt over his own future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and, by effect, the Captain Marvel solo movie. Perhaps it’s time for Nick Fury and the MCU to part ways? We’ll find out in due time.

As for Avengers 4, the Powers That Be have been keeping a tight lid on the 2019 blockbuster, as evidenced by the decision to keep the sequel’s title out of the public eye, lest they spoil the outcome of Avengers 3. But as the set photos continue to pour onto the interwebs, fans have been able to identify which members of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes partake in Infinity War and live to tell the tale – Black Widow included.

Scarlett Johansson’s super-agent has been a point of fixation among Marvel fans ever since it was revealed that Black Widow will be sporting a cropped blonde hairstyle come 2018 – ditto for Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), who appears to be on the verge of becoming Nomad. For her next mission, it seems Widow’s first port of call will involve a run-in with the Yakuza, and in the gallery below, you’ll see Johansson reporting for duty in Atlanta, along with those aforementioned “Japan” set pics.

A trip to the Land of the Rising Sun is most certainly on the cards for Black Widow and Hawkeye, the latter of whom will be rocking a mohawk by the time Infinity War lights up theaters in 2018. Exactly how their Japan trip filters into the overarching story, though, is anyone’s guess, though one would assume it has something to do with the Avengers and their harrowing battle against Thanos and his Black Order.

The so-far untitled Avengers 4 has been slated for May 3rd, 2019.
