Granted, this image actually strays in a few small ways from what we saw in the photo, the most notable being that Pepper’s looking almost as purple as the Mad Titan she’s up against. But for the most part, this outfit seems pretty faithful to the designs we’ve previously seen Pepper’s fiancé Tony Stark wearing.

Speaking of which, with Iron Man being among the most widely predicted fatalities in the Avengers: Infinity War sequel, you have to wonder if there’s a passing of the torch going on here. After all, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige claimed a few months ago that the majority of superheroes in the MCU will soon be female, suggesting that Captain Marvel and the Wasp won’t be the only ones to stick around for more than one movie.

Now that the first image of Paltrow’s outfit has surfaced, you have to wonder when we’ll get to see the rest of the gang in their new costumes. The Avengers-branded white armor we saw Thor wearing on some leaked promo art, for instance, has us wondering how the real thing will look. Of course, unofficial intel is fine and all, but there’s only so long that Marvel Studios can hold back the official details, and there are a lot of fans who seem to think that the first Avengers 4 trailer is only a few weeks away.

In any case, we’ll be able to see Rescue and her super-powered peers in action when the film hits theaters on May 3rd, 2019.
