Avengers: Endgame Deleted Scene Reveals The Fallout Of Tony’s Sacrifice

An incredible new Avengers: Endgame deleted scene reveals the immediate aftermath of Tony's sacrifice as we see the heroes pay tribute to him.

With a whopping 181-minute runtime, it’s difficult to believe that Avengers: Endgame, Marvel’s epic conclusion to Phase Three of the MCU, had any deleted scenes. But every film has its own stack of clips and ideas left on the cutting room floor. And now, another one from Endgame has been revealed, and it only makes Tony Stark’s tragic sacrifice even harder to swallow.

While we did get to see a few of the Avengers mourn Iron Man on the battlefield after his snap in Endgame, the scene cut out before we could witness how the rest of the gang reacted to what happened. Sure, they all showed up to his funeral afterwards, but it would’ve been nice to see the immediate fallout and thankfully, that’s exactly what this deleted footage shows us.

Why it was removed in the first place we’ll never know, as it’s a fantastic scene, but up above, you’ll see the moments right after Stark dies, with numerous heroes taking a knee and paying honor to the fallen Avenger. There’s Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and many more, making for an emotional, beautiful sequence.

Again, it’s unclear why this was removed as it’s a terrific moment that adds a lot to Stark’s sacrifice, but we’re sure the Russo brothers had their reason. In any case, it’s nice that we get to see it for ourselves now and you’ll be able to witness it on an even bigger screen next month when the film hits Blu-ray, as it’ll be included as a deleted scene.

Of course, there’ll be much more on the home video release as well and it’s shaping up to be a must-buy for fans. After all, with the next MCU movie not due to hit theaters for quite a while – that’ll be Black Widow on May 1st, 2020 – Avengers: Endgame is going to have to hold us over until we can get our next fix of Marvel goodness.
