In the race for box office glory, Marvel Studios recently announced that their phenomenon, Avengers: Endgame, will return to theaters with never-before-seen bonus footage. And from the looks of it, American audiences won’t be the only ones able to experience it.

Taking to their Twitter account earlier today, the Russo Brothers made it known that the re-release will be a global event, simply stating:

“THIS IS A GLOBAL RELEASE!”

It’s no secret that Endgame‘s lost a lot of steam since its April debut. As detailed on Box Office Mojo, there hasn’t been a single day in the past week that the film’s brought in over $1 million. So, it’s not necessarily a surprise that Marvel’s going to push the three-hour galactic epic out to as many theaters as they can afford.

It’s yet to be seen whether or not this marketing scheme will do the trick. Given that Spider-Man: Far From Home comes out less than a week after the Endgame re-release, fans will have to make the choice over whether or not the bonus content – which is said to include a Hulk post-credits scene, a Stan Lee tribute, and an unfinished deleted scene  – is worth the price of two, back-to-back admission tickets.

And with all that in mind, the induction of Far From Home to the global market really only gives Endgame a week or two to break the $38 million deficit left behind by Avatar. That’s not to mention the competition brought on by Toy Story 4, and upcoming horror film, Annabelle Comes Home.

But we want to know, what are your plans with the Avengers: Endgame re-release? Are you going to go check it out, or do you think it won’t stand a chance against Spider-Man: Far From Home? Give us your thoughts in the comment section below.
