New Avengers: Endgame Trailer Finally Reveals Thanos

Though it’s generally assumed that Thanos didn’t particularly choose who survived the Decimation, the same can’t be said for the Avengers: Infinity War writers, who obviously spared the original six MCU heroes for a reason. Indeed, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige recently confirmed that the roster from 2012’s The Avengers will be the focus of Avengers: Endgame, but in this brand new trailer for the film - which was released this morning to coincide with tickets going on sale - it's made pretty clear that they won't be alone in their fight.

Along with a ton of fresh footage of the OG Avengers, this latest – and perhaps greatest – preview for Endgame also gives the spotlight to some of the other heroes who’ll be aiding Tony, Steve and the rest of the original team as they attempt to reverse Thanos’ devastating actions from the last film. That means we get new looks at Rhodey, Nebula, Rocket and more, while the trailer also reveals Thanos in all of his glory right near the end.

Yes, at long last we finally get our first proper look at the Mad Titan as he’ll appear in Endgame. It’s a brief shot, but he’s decked out from head to toe in armor and it sure seems like the gang has quite the fight ahead of them if they hope to bring back their dusted friends.

Of course, the villain’s latest look has already been the subject of a fair amount of discussion. After all, since Thanos chose to take off his armor during Infinity War because he felt that his gauntlet kept him protected enough, it’s odd that he’s being so cautious in the upcoming film. Especially when he doesn’t even have as many heroes to deal with.

The most popular theory so far is that his gauntlet has taken some serious damage and is no longer as effective as it used to be. Then again, seeing how pretty much the whole universe is now out to get him, maybe he’s just feeling a little bit anxious?

Whatever the reason is, we’ll find out soon enough, as Avengers: Endgame opens big – and we do mean big – on April 26th.
