Just take this new theory from ComicBook.com, which makes the case that the Avengers Compound will come under attack. Indeed, one of the film’s tie-in LEGO sets presents this exact scenario, as Hulk, Ant-Man, Nebula, Iron Man and Captain Marvel engage in battle with Thanos’ forces. And while tie-in merchandise doesn’t always accurately reflect the content of the film, the latest trailer offers a few clues that the movie may have such an action scene in store for us.

In one shot, for instance, we see Scott Lang standing in what appears to be the Avengers HQ while a fiery light spreads across the windows behind him, suggesting a possible explosion. Sure enough, the next time we see Ant-Man in the trailer, he’s shrunk down and navigating the flame-filled wreckage of an office environment, complete with pens and pencils. With this in mind, it’s easy to believe that the shots of heroes like Captain America and Nebula in a similarly smoke-filled, devastated landscape may also take place on the site where the compound once stood.

Though this remains speculation for the time being, it must be said that ComicBook.com makes a compelling case, and a battle at the HQ of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes certainly feels appropriate for Marvel’s Phase 3 finale. Regardless, we haven’t got long to wait now before all the countless Avengers: Endgame theories that have amassed in the past year are proven wrong or right when the film hits theaters on April 26th.
