Full Breakdown Of Every Deleted Scene Included On Avengers: Infinity War’s Blu-Ray

Marvel Studios has outlined all of the deleted scenes set to feature on Avengers: Infinity War's Blu-ray when it lands next month.

It’s been billed as a must-own addition to every home film collection, and on August 14th, we’ll be able to watch Avengers: Infinity War until our heart’s content.

That means every character moment – every little one-liner – will be analyzed and discussed ten times over as anticipation for its sequel, the so-far untitled Avengers 4, begins to build. And there is plenty to discuss.

Marvel Studios revealed earlier today that the Infinity War Blu-ray will be packed with almost two hours’ worth of bonus content – 10 minutes of which will be dedicated to the sequel’s deleted scenes. Yes, sadly it seems Thanos creator Jim Starlin was wrong in saying that an extended cut was hiding away in the bowels of Marvel. Nevertheless, there’s still plenty to look forward to, and we now have firm details on all four deleted (and extended!) scenes set to be bundled in with the Avengers: Infinity War Blu-ray next month.

And so, without further ado, here’s the lowdown on what Joe and Anthony Russo left out of the theatrical cut, beginning with an extended scene of Tony and Pepper plotting their upcoming wedding – only to be interrupted by a very flustered Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau).

  • Happy Knows Best (1:23) – Tony and Pepper spar over the details of their upcoming wedding—until a hassled Happy Hogan pulls up with an urgent request.
  • Hunt for the Mind Stone (1:24) – On a darkened street, Wanda Maximoff and the wounded Vision attempt to hide from Thanos’ brutal allies.
  • The Guardians Get Their Groove Back (3:20) – As Peter Quill and Drax quarrel over their failed mission to Knowhere, Mantis interrupts with news.
  • A Father’s Choice (4:00) – Thanos confronts Gamora with a vision from her past—and with lying to him about the Soul Stone.

Pretty cool, no? The promise of more footage involving Thanos and Gamora is surely worth the price of admission alone. Look for Avengers: Infinity War to grace Blu-ray and DVD on August 14th.
