Worlds Collide On New Avengers: Infinity War Fan Poster

The Guardians cross paths with Earth's Mightiest Heroes in the latest fan-made poster for Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel's biggest movie yet.

With close to 76 characters at its disposal, Avengers: Infinity War plans to unleash the big guns on May 4th.

It’s just as well, too, given Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are bracing for “interstellar threats” in the form of Thanos and his unruly Black Order – a mish-mash of adoptive children and war lieutenants who swear allegiance to Marvel’s Mad Titan in the name of galactic tyranny.

We’ve already clocked eyes on Proxima Midnight and her formidable staff thanks to this morning’s merchandise leak. However, ComicBook.com has gone one step further to relay a truly epic fan poster for Infinity War that places Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in the company of the Guardians. We’re pretty sure that’s Brie Larson hovering in the background, too, whose Captain Marvel has once again been tipped for a potential cameo appearance in the May blockbuster.

For those of you who have been keeping track of Infinity War‘s campaign, it’s a pretty familiar layout, as we see Josh Brolin’s almighty villain look over his adversaries while wielding the Infinity Gauntlet and all six of its precious jewels. They are, in no particular order, Space, Mind, Time, Reality, Soul and Power, which, when pulled together, will seemingly imbue the Mad Titan with enough power to rebalance the universe…whatever the hell that means.

Your guess is as good as ours, but one thing is certain: Thanos’ invasion will have a ripple effect on the remainder of the MCU – regardless of who comes out on top across both Infinity War and Avengers 4. Indeed, there have been rumors that the latter tentpole will act as a soft reboot for the entire franchise, though neither Marvel nor Kevin Feige have offered up any tangible clues as to where the superhero series is headed next – not yet, at least.
