New Avengers: Infinity War Posters Continue To Tease Us

Is there a bigger, more impressive blockbuster currently in the works than Avengers: Infinity War? Sure, you have Warner's imminent Justice League and the mooted Godzilla Vs. Kong, but in the realm of Hollywood's shared universes, Infinity War stands head and burly shoulders above the rest because it's about to execute on a vision that began almost ten years ago with the release of Jon Favreau's Iron Man. Toss in a post-credits scene with Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury, now an MCU mainstay, and the rest is history.

Sure, you have Warner’s imminent Justice League and the mooted Godzilla Vs. Kong, but in the realm of Hollywood’s shared universes, Infinity War stands head and burly shoulders above the rest because it’s about to execute on a vision that began almost ten years ago with the release of Jon Favreau’s Iron Man. Toss in a post-credits scene with Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, now an MCU mainstay, and the rest is history.

Indeed, when counting the yet-to-be-released Thor: Ragnarok and Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War will be the 19th instalment in Marvel’s grand universe, with everyone involved deeming IW to be a superhero movie unlike any other. And even from the outside looking in, few would contest such a tantalizing claim.

But with the flick just eight months away now, Marvel still hasn’t really revealed anything about the movie so far. A couple of posters leaked from this summer’s Comic-Con, as did some footage (though that was quickly removed), but that’s about it. At least one fan is tired of waiting around, though, and has instead created their own dream posters for the blockbuster – and they really are something.

We’ve included them all in the gallery below, along with a few others that have surfaced recently, for your viewing pleasure. Have a look and see what you think.

Gorgeous, right? While we still can’t say for sure when Marvel will finally roll out some official promo material for the film, it’s clear that they’re going to have to work pretty hard to match what we’ve been seeing from these talented fans. Word has it that the first trailer could arrive as early next week, and if that’s the case, then you can bet that a few posters will follow. Whether they’ll be able to match up to these ones though, remains to be seen.

Packed to the rafters with scene-stealing chemistry and “intense surprises,” Avengers: Infinity War is now less than a year away and will launch into theaters on May 4th, 2018. The fourth, so-far untitled Avengers film will then release in May of 2019, by which point viewers will be acquainted with Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers and her ’90s-set origin story. March 8th, 2019 is the date for your diaries for that one.
