A production involving as many people and as much money as Avengers: Infinity War will inevitably have a vast wealth of behind-the-scenes material to share. Sure enough, six months after the film’s release, the bonus goods are continuing to make their way online.
This latest pic shows Robert Downey Jr. in a motion capture suit filming what appears to be a section from the battle on Titan. This all-star smackdown sees Iron Man team up with Spider-Man, Star-Lord, Mantis, Nebula, Drax, and Doctor Strange to take on Thanos, and though things famously don’t end so well in the scene, the fight is often singled out as a highlight from the recent Marvel mega-hit.

While Tony Stark was among the few heroes in this brawl who didn’t get disintegrated in the Mad Titan’s subsequent purging of the universe, it remains a popular prediction that next year’s Avengers 4 will see a reversal of fates, with the dusted victims coming back and Iron Man losing his life.
Should that be the case, then a recently leaked set photo suggests that Stark’s fiancée Pepper Potts might be the one to keep his legacy alive, as actress Gwyneth Paltrow has been seen suiting up as the superhero Rescue. Though it’s unclear what sort of future Marvel Studios has planned for the role, Kevin Feige claimed a few months ago that the majority of superheroes in the MCU will soon be female, implying that the franchise could well have some long-term plans for the CEO of Stark Industries.
In any case, we’ll find out whether Tony will still be around for Marvel’s Phase 4 when the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 3rd, 2019.
