Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War

New Avengers: Infinity War Synopsis Teases MCU’s Deadliest Movie

Even though we finally received the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War a couple months back, it stands to reason that each and every one of us are dying to see more teasers before the big team-up flick storms cinemas. Of course, we’re likely to see another full trailer or two before opening weekend arrives, but the interim is starting to heat up, with a Marvel Cinematic Universe recap video and international trailer already surfacing in this still young week.

But even with all that to digest, we still can’t help but wonder what’s in store for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes other than punching Thanos in the face. Well, one would assume they’re going to, but the Mad Titan is a pretty tough guy, so they may not lay too much smack down on him until the second part of the sprawling epic.

Fortunately, a new synopsis has surfaced, even if it is a tad vague. Either way, it seems like Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and the rest of our favorites will have a lot on their plate:

An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must willing to sacrifice it all in an attempt to defeat the power of Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.

Anthony and Joe Russo direct the film, which is produced by Kevin Feige. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo, and Stan Lee are executive producers. Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely wrote the screenplay.

To be frank, it’s pretty hard not to overlook the word “deadliest” being used, forcing us to wonder whether any superheroes will bite the dust. But, even if they do, some time travel is expected to be witnessed in either this picture or its sequel, so who knows what will stick?

Avengers: Infinity War arrives in theaters on May 4th, while its currently untitled sequel, Avengers 4, will follow one year later, on May 3rd, 2019.
