Avengers: Infinity War Is Now YouTube’s Most-Viewed Trailer Of All Time

The Marvel event movie may be scheduled for release in May, but it's already smashing through all sorts of records in its long, meandering journey to theaters. Up first was the achievement for most trailer views within a single day of release, as it took Infinity War only 24 hours to accumulate 230 million views – easily surpassing the likes of It (197 million) and The Fate of the Furious (139 million), and Thor: Ragnarok (136 million) across the same period.

There’s simply no stopping Avengers: Infinity War.

The Marvel event movie may be scheduled for release in May, but it’s already smashing through all sorts of records in its long, meandering journey to theaters. Up first was the achievement for most trailer views within a single day of release, as it took Infinity War only 24 hours to accumulate 230 million views – easily surpassing the likes of It (197 million) and The Fate of the Furious (139 million), and Thor: Ragnarok (136 million) across the same period.

And the MCU hype train shows no sign of slowing down, either, as Avengers: Infinity War has now been crowned as the most-viewed trailer of all time. It’s important to clarify that this milestone accounts for the sequel’s views on a single video, given Infinity War‘s 133.2 million cume is enough to see off Star Wars: The Force Awakens (100.9 million) and, er, Sing, Illumination Entertainment’s animated hit that has somehow, almost inexplicably, collected 133.04 million views since its trailer debut in May of 2016.

Talk about an outlier to upset the competition. Again, we should stress that Avengers: Infinity War is YouTube’s most-viewed trailer when considering the number of views on a single video, as opposed to the total cume spread out over multiple channels – both official and otherwise.

It’s for that reason that Infinity War was able to steamroll its way to 230 million views in only 24 hours, as the Internet’s leading entertainment YouTube channels (including our own) uploaded their own version of Marvel’s biggest trailer.

Take nothing away from Avengers: Infinity War, though; this is still a remarkable feat in and of itself, and only serves as a pointed reminder that Joe and Anthony Russo’s blockbuster is the most-anticipated movie of 2018 by quite some distance.
