With the latest full trailer for Avengers: Infinity War having arrived a few weeks back, it’s only understandable that devout True Believers and casual moviegoers alike begin frothing at the mouth. After all, it felt like an eternity had passed since the previous one dropped and the film’s release date is coming up fast.

So, even though it stands to reason that you and your friends have seen said footage numerous times, we can probably all agree that any and all new promos to be released between now and opening weekend are much appreciated.

On that note, Marvel has just dropped yet another teaser, which gives us a pretty good look at Thanos and his Black Order right at the start. Believe it or not, you can’t destroy the world alone, no matter what the Mad Titan had to say during Avengers: Age of Ultron‘s mid-credits scene a few years back. And up in the promo above, you’ll catch a glimpse of the big bad and his crew of henchmen getting ready to go on the offensive.

While we’re discussing this matter, let’s also reflect on co-director Joe Russo’s words explaining the need to utilize this particular group of foes:

“We get inspired by a lot of different material when we’re working on the movie. We pulled from both Infinity runs for this, and look, there are a scary bunch of characters who I happen to think, when I read the Infinity run, were super cool. And when I got the opportunity to make this movie, I said I have to do the Black Order. You know, we have so many characters and Thanos needs to be teased out. You can’t have the characters challenging him every step of the way. There has to be characters that they have to go through to get to him. The Black Order is the perfect cast of characters to do that with.”

Knowing how the film is said to be told from Thanos’ point of view, it only makes sense for the directors to show us with whom the big bad surrounds himself, right? Beyond that, we’ll just have to see how the next chapter in the saga plays out when Avengers: Infinity War arrives in theaters on April 27.
