Brie Larson Trying To Push For A Role In A Star Wars Movie

Though she's not officially on any wishlists that we know of, sources close to the actress say Brie Larson wants a role in a Star Wars movie.

Captain Marvel star Brie Larson recently showed off her lightsaber skills when she visited the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge experience at Disneyland Anaheim and after channeling her inner geek once more last week with a photo of herself dressed as a Jedi, fans are now calling for the actress to book a trip to that galaxy far, far away for real, and soon.

But what are the chances that Larson actually joins a future Star Wars movie? Well, she’s made her love for the franchise pretty clear in the past, but given that she’s busy preparing to lead the next Phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s unknown if she’d have the time. That being said, it does seem like she’s seriously interested in it should Disney want her involved.

Speaking to sources close to the Captain Marvel lead, WGTC was told that while she’s not officially on any wishlists or even in talks for any upcoming projects, Larson is indeed serious about snagging a role in the franchise and is trying to push for one. As is often the case with these situations, we imagine Brie may deny her interest publicly until something’s officially announced so as not to hurt her chances of landing the gig, but as always, we stand by our source and the information they’ve given to us.

Like we mentioned above, it’s unclear if this could ever happen as Larson already has a lot on her plate, most notable her commitments to the MCU. Then again, given that Disney owns both Star Wars and Marvel, it probably wouldn’t be too difficult to arrange something that would accomodate the actress’ increasingly busy schedule and find a way to have her show up in both franchises.

But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves. Again, there’s no talks underway, and she’s not on the wishlist for any upcoming projects. We’ve simply heard just that Brie Larson would like to join the Star Wars franchise at some point and hopefully, Disney’s listening and she’ll get her wish.
