Over the past few weeks, artist Andy Park has been sharing some early concept designs for several characters from Captain America: Civil War to his Twitter account, providing fans with an intriguing glimpse of what the heroes could have looked like in the finished film.

Up until now, the concepts haven’t been a million miles away from what we ended up seeing in the Marvel threequel, but this latest piece of Black Panther artwork is quite different to how Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa appeared on screen.

Park says he originally went with a “very tribal look,” and while that’s evident in the overall costume, it’s the mask that stands out as being most notably different from the character’s head-gear in the film. This is definitely less catlike, and the yellow glint in the eyes was dropped – something which fans of Panther’s comic book counterpart probably won’t be too happy with.

Tell us, would you have preferred this design, or were you happy with how Black Panther was presented in the movie? Captain America: Civil War will be available on Digital HD from September 2nd, and then on DVD and Blu-ray from the 13th.
