S.H. Figuarts, for instance, has unveiled a new line of action figures which offer a closer look at the latest designs of several characters. For one thing, you’ve got the Captain America model, which shows Steve Rogers wearing the same mask and outfit from the film’s latest trailer. Having sported a more rugged, Nomad-inspired look in last year’s Avengers: Infinity War, it seems that The First Avenger is losing the beard and going back to a more traditional design for Marvel’s Phase 3 finale.

In the various promotional footage released for Endgame, Cap has been given more dialogue than any other character, suggesting that he’ll be right at the forefront of the drama in the upcoming flick. His prominence is only fitting, seeing how the film is expected to be Evans’ final outing in the MCU. And while Steve isn’t the only character who’s expected to drop out after this next movie, Cap is almost certainly the hero whose death is the most widely predicted.

It would certainly take something major to encourage this famously persistent and principled character to give up the fight, though the internet has still yielded a few theories for how Cap’s run could end in a non-fatal manner. Some fans, for instance, are holding out hope that the film’s heavily rumored time travel plot will allow him to settle down with Peggy Carter. It’s a nice idea, but we’ll find out what’s really in store for Steve when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th.
