Horror fans and literary junkies won’t have to wait much longer to watch It: Chapter Two. The follow-up to the 2017 adaptation of the Stephen King novel will pick up 27 years after the events of It. The Losers Club, in an effort to fulfill their promise to protect the world from Pennywise, return to the town of Derry in order to fend off evil once more. While the child actors and actresses from the first movie will be reprising their roles, a handful of A-list celebs have also joined the cast, seeing as how the film takes place decades later.

Last month, we got to feast our eyes on the first official trailer, and ever since, new information has been coming down the pipeline at a steady rate. Earlier this year, Jessica Chastain confirmed that she had filmed a scene which, as she describes, used a record-setting amount of fake blood. The claim was seemingly backed up by Gary Dauberman, who penned the script. We aren’t entirely sure what the sequence will entail, but we have a sneaking suspicion it has something to do with the picture below:

This screengrab might be off-putting to some, but rest assured, it looks like Warner Bros. hasn’t toned anything down during the post-production process. In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter (via MovieWeb), Dauberman stuck to his word, reiterating that director Andy Muschietti had a lot in store for audiences.

“I think that’s Andy pushing it to the brink; he has a great relationship with Chastain. But, yeah, that’s definitely Andy. I know the particular scene you’re talking about, and there’s no way to do it without a ton of blood. Knowing Andy, he always takes things and multiplies them, which is what you want out of your director. It’s pretty incredible.”

If that sounds like a bloody good time to you, make sure to mark your calendar for September 6th, which is when It: Chapter Two will arrive in theaters and scare the hell out of all of us.
