As evidenced by the steady stream of set photos, Atlanta is still playing host to Avengers 4, Marvel’s unnamed sequel currently on course for a release in 2019.

Nipping at the heels of Infinity War, directors Joe and Anthony Russo have now switched gears to orchestrate the second, conclusive chapter in their two-part epic, which presumably pits Earth’s Mightiest Heroes against Thanos for the final time in May of 2019.

Most of the MCU heroes are expected to feature in some shape or form, but with Infinity War promising to bring about the death of a character or two, fans have been furiously speculating as to who’s going to make it out alive and who won’t. Already, we can tell you that the likes of Black Widow, Hawkeye, Iron Man and Hulk will all live to see another day and now, two more heroes have been confirmed for Avengers 4: Captain America and Bucky Barnes.

The latter revealed his involvement to Cinema Blend, while the former was spotted on set by Atlanta Filming. None of this comes as much of a surprise, but given that we still don’t know who might die in Infinity War, it’s nice to be able to cross two more folks off the list. Especially since it’s heavily rumored that Cap may not be around much longer in the MCU. And while that could still be the case, we can now rest easy knowing he’ll survive until at least Avengers 4.

Once Thor: Ragnarok brings the curtain down on the studio’s 2017 offerings on November 3rd, Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther solo movie will introduce fans to Wakadan royalty on February 16th, before Joe and Anthony Russo wage Avengers: Infinity War on May 4th, 2018. After that? The untitled Avengers 4, which is currently slated for release on May 3rd, 2019.
