Check Out The First Images Of Fifty Shades Of Grey Stars, Now Set For Release On Valentine’s Day 2015

Start planning ahead for those 2015 Valentine's Day dates to the cinema, because the most disturbing romance ever to grace the silver screen will be coming your way. The adaptation of E.L. James's popular BDSM novel (and I use that term loosely) Fifty Shades of Grey has plans to hit cinemas on Valentine's Day 2015.

Start planning ahead for those 2015 Valentine’s Day dates to the cinema, because the most disturbing romance ever to grace the silver screen will be coming your way. The adaptation of E.L. James’s popular BDSM novel (and I use that term loosely) Fifty Shades of Grey has plans to hit cinemas on Valentine’s Day 2015.

The film is actually slated to premiere on February 13, 2015, one day shy of that most romantic day of the year. The shift from the hoped-for release date of August 2014 is a result of script delays and cast changes, but it’s all set up now. Jamie Dornan’s Christian Grey will do all sorts of unspeakable things to Dakota Johnson’s Anastasia Steele, for your viewing pleasure.

Is your inner goddess dancing yet? No? Then you will just have to check out the first images of the two Fifty Shades stars that are tying up the cover of Entertainment Weekly (via The Playlist). I’m sorry to say that the images are completely SFW, but perhaps you can imagine the pair in all kinds of compromising positions, if you really want to.

If anyone has been worried about the film playing it safe on the book’s explicit content, not to worry! Jamie Dornan says that he’s a totally liberal guy and is not shocked by the sex in the book. Good for him. Dakota Johnson meanwhile is more concerned about looking good naked, which completely bodes well for an intimate and intelligent examination of the BDSM lifestyle.

Is it just me or do these two look impossibly vanilla in the EW images? Jamie Dornan’s little thumb-bite is laughable, and Dakota Johnson…well, actually she seems like the perfect actress for a character with all the personality of a doorknob. I have to say that I’m not holding my breath on this one.

You can be certain that more exciting news on Fifty Shades of Grey will arrive any day now. Check out the first images from the EW spread below, and then strap in, everyone. It’s a long way to 2015.
