Plenty of films have documented the salacious nature of infidelity in the past, whether it be a breezy subplot for a romantic comedy or the center of attention in a more drama-oriented project. For The Loft, Erik Van Looy’s thriller very much falls into the latter category, telling the story of five well-to-do men who think they’ve concocted the ultimate plan of deceit when they pitch in to purchase a sleek penthouse in the middle of the city, providing them with a concrete outlet for extra-martial affairs and the like.
But when the dead body of an unknown woman appears in the twisted apartment, their seemingly bulletproof plan begins to fall away at the seems, and their relationship between one and other is also put to the test.
Starring Dredd‘s Karl Urban along with James Marsden, Wentworth Miller, Eric Stonestreet and Matthias Schoenaerts Van Looy’s thriller may be a little on the nose, but given the cast of actors, we’re willing to offer it the benefit of the doubt.
To commemorate The Loft‘s arrival in select theaters on January 30, We Got This Covered has a prize pack to give away to one lucky reader in the United States which contains the following:
