Arriving on the eve of release – Mayhem is due to hit VOD and Digital HD tomorrow, November 10th – the promo below is all about Yeun’s cubicle slave, Derek Cho, who takes up arms alongside Samara Weaving (Ash vs. Evil Dead, The Babysitter) after being framed for corporate espinoage.

As luck would have it, those allegations come just as a mysterious virus sweeps through the office, reducing everyone in its vicinity into a blood-thirsty maniac. And that’s when Mayhem really begins to live up to its evocative title. After all, what else did you expect from the director behind Wrong Turn 2?

Here’s the synopsis for more:

After being framed for corporate espionage on the same day that a mysterious virus is unleashed on his company, attorney Derek Cho is forced to savagely fight tooth and nail for not only his job but his life.

Coming out of SXSW 2017, our horror resident Matt Donato awarded Mayhem four stars, writing that Lynch’s actioner is “a wonderfully violent middle finger to corporate culture, gleeful in its desire to redecorate cubicles with blood red splatters.”

It’s been a brilliant year for fans of tight, self-contained thrillers, given horror connoisseurs were treated to The Belko Experiment – it’s Office Space meets Battle Royale, as Donato so aptly put – back in March. It’s even beginning to achieve cult status since its release, and has scooped up $11 million off the back of a $5 million budget.

And though Mayhem will be aiming for a similar audience, we imagine Joe Lynch and the Powers That Be have tempered their expectations when it comes to the financials. Nevertheless, fans are in for an electrifying treat when the movie slashes onto VOD and Digital HD tomorrow, November 10th.
