Danny Trejo Returns As Rondo On New 3 From Hell Poster

As you’ve surely heard, Danny Trejo, star of MacheteGrindhouse and Once Upon a Time in Mexico, is on board for 3 From Hell, the Rob Zombie horror threequel that’s now finished production and will soon be cut together once the director returns from tour later this summer.

Of course, Trejo is just one part of an impressive cast, which also boasts the return of Sid Haig (Captain Spaulding), Bill Moseley (Otis) and Sheri Moon Zombie (Baby), who captured the imagination of horror fans the world over with their performances across both House of 1,000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects. Speaking of which, we understand Trejo plans to reprise his role as Rondo from the latter feature, which summoned the Firefly Family into theaters almost a decade ago. Now, they’re on the verge of a comeback.

But before we get to that, the marketing for the pic has begun to spin up in recent weeks and after sharing a poster of Otis, Zombie’s now taken to Instagram to bring us a one-sheet featuring Trejo’s Rondo. Done in the same black and white style as the others, you can check it out for yourself down in the gallery below.

Plot-wise, details on how exactly the gang are amongst the living again – given that they seemingly died in the last film – remain under lock and key, but at the rate the director’s been sharing updates on his Instagram page, we should find out soon enough. Until then, though, fans can rest easy knowing that they’re in for one heck of a good time here, as star Bill Moseley recently promised us that the pic will blow our minds.

Also starring Austin Stoker (Assault on Precinct 13), Dee Wallace (The Howling, Cujo), Dot-Marie Jones (American Horror Story) and Tom Papa, there’s still no word of a concrete release date for the movie, but fans of Rob Zombie’s eccentric oeuvre can go on enjoying updates from the Firefly Family, safe in the knowledge that 3 From Hell is coming together quite nicely.
