‘Daredevil: Born Again’ dipping into the Netflix roster could be great news for ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’

They don't call it "the grand calculus of the multiverse" for nothing.

The multiverse may have proven to be a bone of contention for many Marvel Cinematic Universe fans already, but bringing back a trio of Netflix favorites and uniting them in Daredevil: Born Again has been a welcome development for all but the most ardent of franchise critics.

As recently as a few years ago, the prospect of seeing Charlie Cox’s Man Without Fear, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher existing in the same mythology where Thanos wiped out half of all living creatures with a snap of his fingers sounded fanciful at best, but all bets are now officially off.

In a similar vein, whereas Clark Gregg’s Agent Coulson is definitely part of mainline MCU canon, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is not. However, if the aforementioned trio of Netflix favorites can be brought back and absorbed into the Sacred Timeline with the same actors playing the same characters, then it can’t be ruled out that the popular TV show could be in line for the same treatment.

Chloe Bennet has set tongues wagging several times over in regards to her long-rumored appearance as Quake in the 616 universe, but there are plenty of other names fans would love to see take a similar trip. After all, Doctor Strange didn’t refer to it as “the grand calculus of the multiverse” for nothing, and now that the precedent has been set by Cox, D’Onofrio, and Bernthal, who’s to say there won’t be even more variants coming down the pipeline as the MCU continues its unstoppable expansion?
