Attention all Batman fans, get ready. The wait may finally be over. Warner Bros. plans to release a teaser trailer and poster for The Dark Knight Rises next week.

According to Super Hero Hype, the trailer is one minute and 33 seconds long and will play before the 2D and 3D screenings of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. There will also be a trailer for Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows attached to the Harry Potter finale.

Even though The Dark Knight Rises won’t be released until July 20, 2012, the anticipation is huge, and for obvious reason. This is going to be the movie event of the year, if not the decade.

There is no word on what the trailer will consist of or when it will be available online for non-Harry Potter fans to check out. Presumably, no real footage will be shown as they haven’t been shooting for that long yet. Then again, who knows? Nolan may surprise us and give us a glimpse at the highly anticipated Bane and Catwoman.

Wouldn’t that be something, if by next week we can get the first footage of Nolan’s envisioning of both Catwoman and Bane (I’m not counting that first photo since it wasn’t a great look). I’m guessing that whatever they show will be enough to get fans excited. Warner Bros. knows that they can’t get away with pumping out a crummy little teaser, they have to go big with this one, so to speak.

Either way, the anticipation is certainly high and we’ll be sure to post the trailer as soon as it pops up online.
