One question that loomed large over the array of behind-the-scenes photos surfacing from the Toronto set of Suicide Squad was whether the images risked exposing every plot detail for David Ayer’s villain-centric feature more than a year from release. In fact, those of you keeping close tabs on the project will have already seen The Joker and Harley Quinn in costume, the Batmobile in action and images of strange creatures invading the production.
According to the director himself, though, fans needn’t worry about finding out too much about the specifics of the film via the Internet, as the so-called “surprises” very much remain intact. Taking to Twitter, here’s what Ayer had to share as Suicide Squad wrapped up its exterior shooting.
Well we survived the streets. Time to go dark now. Remember, only the tiniest glimpse has been exposed. Our surprises are intact.

Now that the action has been taken inside, the remainder of the shoot – which is slated to wrap in September – ought to be relatively safe from the prying eyes of fans. At that point, Ayer’s big-screen rendition of Task Force X will enter post-production ahead of its debut in August of next year.
Will Smith will topline the devious black-ops squad as Deadshot, with Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Jai Courtney (Boomerang), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Raymond Olubawale (King Shark) and model-cum-actress Cara Delevingne (The Enchantress) completing the star-studded lineup.
Suicide Squad will look to expand upon the foundations laid by Dawn of Justice when it arrives on August 7, 2016.
