Deadpool Makes Good Use Of Those Emojis In Hilarious New Billboard

Even if Deadpool doesn't end up living up to expectations, Fox definitely deserves credit for one of the most unique marketing campaigns in recent memory. With that in mind, you may remember that some very cool emojis were released for smartphone users last year as part of #12DaysToDeadpool, and now a new billboard for the movie has put those to great use (as you can see above).

Even if Deadpool doesn’t end up living up to expectations, Fox definitely deserves credit for one of the most unique marketing campaigns in recent memory. With that in mind, you may remember that some very cool emojis were released for smartphone users last year as part of #12DaysToDeadpool, Now, a new billboard for the movie has put those very same emojis to great use (as you can see above).

Of course, this isn’t the only unique billboard doing the rounds, as the hilariously misleading Valentine’s Day version is just as much fun and once again shows just how brilliant the marketing team behind the film is.

Fans have responded well so far to the footage shown off from Deadpool and comments from those involved with the movie definitely point to Fox having high hopes for it as well. Throw in the fact that the studio has reportedly put the Deadpool sequel in the slot held by Fantastic Four 2, and things are certainly looking good for Wade Wilson…if this movie ends up being a hit that is.

We’ll just have to wait and see how it performs at the box office, but if this unique marketing campaign has indeed paid off, Deadpool might just end up exceeding expectations.

Starring Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Ed Skrein, Gina Carano, and Brianna Hildebrand, Deadpool is set to be released on February 12th, 2016.
