Deadpool Kicks A Field Goal In This Latest TV Spot

We don’t have long to go now before we find out whether Fox’s gamble of giving Deadpool his own R-rated solo movie has paid off or not, and promotion has been steadily kicking up a few notches as the release date approaches. Speaking of which, the Merc with a Mouth (Ryan Reynolds) does some kicking of his own in this latest TV commercial, as he “calls an audible” and damn near takes an unfortunate goon’s head clean off his shoulders.

Elsewhere in the promo, there’s a few more new snippets of footage of Wilson undergoing his fateful transformation, shots of love interest Vanessa Carlyle (Morena Baccarin), and also a bit more dialogue from the wise-cracking Marvel Comics anti-hero. Overall, it’s another great look at the film and only serves to heighten our anticipation even more for what’s sure to be a very, very fun movie.

Directed by Tim Miller, Deadpool also stars T.J. Miller, Gina Carano, and Brianna Hildebrand, and is set to be released on February 12th, 2016. Take a look at the official synopsis below and let us know what you think of this new TV spot in the comments section.

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
