Since the Disney/Fox merger a couple of months ago, no official reports have been made regarding the future of Deadpool. The former Fox property, which has been the subject of two wildly successful R-rated pictures (and one, just-okay PG-13 edit), has reportedly been having executives over at the House of Mouse scratching their heads.
It almost goes without saying that the Merc’s graphic and foul-mouthed way of being doesn’t go hand-in-hand with the MCU’s more family-friendly approach to filmmaking. But fans across the world are eagerly waiting to see how Wade Wilson will make his MCU debut. And while a new report from Cosmic Book News suggests that Deadpool’s set to appear in the end credits of the franchise’s next movie, Black Widow, it also says that we’ll see more of him in Avengers 5.
And keep in mind, this is nothing more than a rumor. So be sure to interpret this statement with a grain of salt.
With that little disclaimer out of the way, let’s get into it. Insider Tim Vo from Lords of the Long Box has claimed that the Merc with a Mouth will be appearing in the Avengers’ next adventure, and that star Ryan Reynolds has signed a brand new deal with Disney following its acquisition of 20th Century Fox.

Back in June I teased this on Twitter. Todya my sources have said Deadpool will be in end credits scene for Black Widow and Deadpool will appear in upcoming Avengers. Ryan Reynolds reportedly signed new deal with Disney/Marvel recently. https://t.co/gja4XsduKS

Unfortunately when it comes to Avengers 5, not much else is known other than the fact that it’s happening. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that fact in late July.
But with the knowledge that the movie will happen, we want to know: do you think Deadpool will be a good fit for the franchise? Or should he just stand to the side and keep doing his own profane thing in his own cinematic universe? As always, let us know down below.
