Doctor Strange Concept Art Features A New Look At The Sanctum Sanctorum

Doctor Strage

Marvel has today release a brand new piece of concept art from Doctor Strange, and it offers up another look at the Sorcerer Supreme’s Sanctum Sanctorum. An earlier piece of artwork from the movie appeared to indicate that it would have a much more modern aesthetic than the version from the comics, but this shot looks like it was lifted straight from the source material.

Believe it or not, that window has a lot of significance to the Doctor Strange mythos as it’s called the Window of the Worlds, and is decorated to look like the Seal of the Vishanti. The character uses this room as a meditation chamber of sorts, and it’s here that the majority of scenes depicting the character in his home take place. Exactly how it’s going to factor into the movie, however, obviously remains to be seen.

In fact, we still know very little about the highly anticipated flick, though the brief synopsis reveals that, “Doctor Strange follows the story of neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions.”

Directed by Scott Derrickson, Doctor Strange is set to be released later this year, on November 4th.
