Believe it or not, that window has a lot of significance to the Doctor Strange mythos, as it’s called the Window of the Worlds and is decorated to look like the Seal of the Vishanti. The character uses this room as a meditation chamber of sorts, and it’s here that the majority of scenes depicting him in his home take place. Exactly how it’s going to factor into the movie, however, obviously remains to be seen.

Not a huge amount is known about what’s to come in Doctor Strange, but the plot synopsis at least points to it following the comic books fairly closely in terms of the Sorcerer Supreme’s origin story:

Doctor Strange follows the story of neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions.

Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelsen, and Michael Stuhlbarg, Doctor Strange is set to be released on November 4th, 2016.
