Avengers: Infinity War will feature a host of new pairings of heroes that are bound to become fan favourites. One dynamic that Marvel lovers can’t wait to see though is that between Doctor Strange and Iron Man, as played by Benedict Cumberbatch and Robert Downey Jr. For Sherlock Holmes fans, in particular, their meeting will see two different Great Detectives coming face to face.
But how will Stephen Strange and Tony Stark interact in Infinity War? They’re both very different heroes, with the former deriving his powers from magic while the latter is a genius scientist, but they do have similar sarcastic, arguably arrogant personalities. As such, while we know that they won’t get along at first, we’ve no doubt that they’ll eventually see eye to eye and be able to work together in the fight against Thanos.
In fact, that’s something which is teased in this new TV spot that we’ve got for you up above. It kicks off with the Sorcerer Supreme reaching out to Stark for help, giving us a good dose of fresh footage. And it doesn’t end there, as after a few familiar shots of Thanos and Wakanda, we also get some never before seen stuff featuring the God of Thunder. Yes, the mighty Thor receives a bit of the spotlight here, too, looking beaten and broken as he asks Rocket, “what more can I lose?”
All that aside, there’s nothing too noteworthy in this promo, as it’s mostly just the same moments we’ve seen countless times now throughout the Avengers: Infinity War marketing campaign. But what’s new here is certainly exciting and the encounter between Strange and Iron Man and Thor and Bradley Cooper’s talking animal should definitely get fans hyped for the big day.
Speaking of which, we’re now only 5 days away from the release of the event movie to end all event movies, something this TV spot hammers home. And with the world premiere set to go down in Los Angeles tomorrow night, it should be just a matter of time before we finally find out if Marvel’s hit another home run with Avengers: Infinity War.
