While action films like John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum and Avengers: Endgame continue to rack in box office dollars, Sylvester Stallone has made sure that his upcoming franchise finale, Rambo V: Last Blood, doesn’t get left in the dust.

The actor, who’s played the troubled Vietnam veteran John Rambo for over 35 years, has been posting constant updates online, with an array of behind the scenes photos and videos. And his latest Instagram post seems to have caught the eyes of another action icon: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

But before we get to what the Hobbs & Shaw star had to say, take a look at the epic clip shared by Stallone and that had Johnson talking below.

The video sees Stallone rehearsing an action sequence in which Rambo brutally ambushes his enemies in a cave-like structure. In a matter of no more than 20 seconds, we watch him blow somebody away with a sawed-off shotgun, spear another in the head through a hole in the wall, and get ready to cut a third person’s leg off. After seeing the same thing we all just saw, here’s how The Rock reacted:

Johnson is no stranger to the thrills that can be generated from a well-done action scene – in fact, since his days in the WWE, his career has been built on it. But given Rambo’s apparent return to covert, guerilla tactics, it’s easy to see how anyone who’s been a fan of the longstanding franchise would get excited by the video.

And guess what? If you think that’s fun, earlier this week, the teaser trailer for Rambo V: Last Blood was leaked from the Cannes Film Festival. And if that was any indication, it’s looking like the latest outing in the series is going to be the swashbuckling, blood-soaked send off we all want it to be.
