Electrifying New Poster For The Predator Surfaces

Of all the franchise reboots due to be churned out by Hollywood in the coming years, one of the most highly anticipated is The Predator, from 20th Century Fox. Directed by Shane Black (who starred in the original Predator in 1987), from a script he co-wrote with Fred Dekker, it's intended to reignite the iconic film series and draw an entirely new generation of fans to its high concept premise.

Of all the franchise reboots due to be churned out by Hollywood in the coming years, one of the most highly anticipated is The Predator, from 20th Century Fox. Updates on the production have been few and far between, though, which is why we’re happy to report today that we now have a brand new poster for you to feast your eyes on (seen down below). Granted, it’s not quite the official version, as it was found on Instagram and snapped at a trade show, but it’s a striking piece of promotional material nonetheless.

Just don’t expect to learn anything about the film itself from this one-sheet, as it gives absolutely nothing away. Well, aside from the fact that the titular creature is headed onto the city streets, which we already knew. What we also know is that The Predator will feature Boyd Holbrook (Logan), Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key, and the so-hot-right-now Jacob Tremblay, who’s landed one high-profile gig after another following his scene-stealing performance in Room.

In fact, from the few story details that’ve found their way online, we can gather that Tremblay has a fairly significant role to play here, as his autistic youngster is one of the only characters able to deduce the alien language. That makes him a valuable asset for Holbrook’s Special Forces commando, Quinn McKenna, who takes the fight to those ugly motherfuckers in present-day suburbia.

That’s about all we’ve got to go on right now, and with the reboot still so far off, we don’t imagine we’ll be learning much more anytime soon. Still, it’s nice to see that some marketing material is starting to surface and hopefully, it won’t be too long before 20th Century Fox open the floodgates on this one.

“You’ll never see him coming.” The Predator will claw its way into theaters on August 3rd, 2018 – just don’t refer to Shane Black’s long-in-development revival as a sequel.
