It was an absolute pleasure to talk with Egoyan when he was at The Captive press day last week in West Hollywood, California. He was joined there by Scott Speedman, who plays a cop in the film and described the research he did to better understand the type work people do in child exploitation units. Egoyan, on the other hand, explained how he constructed the screenplay and told us why he loves ambiguity so much.
