It: Chapter Two

Horror Fans Are Going Wild Over The New It: Chapter Two Trailer

Andy Muschietti's big screen adaptation of Stephen King's It became a huge cultural phenomenon when it was released in September 2017. The movie opened to a massive $123.4 million at the domestic box office and would go on to earn over $700 million globally on a budget of just $35 million, becoming the highest-grossing R-rated movie ever made in the process. So, it would be fair to say that the soon-to-be-released It: Chapter Two comes burdened with some pretty high expectations.

The sequel is predicted to enjoy an even bigger opening weekend than the first installment, and the buzz surrounding the movie is starting to gain some real momentum after a San Diego Comic Con panel that revealed three full scenes, as well as the release of a brand new trailer. If you have any interest at all in seeing It: Chapter 2 then the trailer is only going to increase your excitement, and might even pique the interest of those not yet sold on the flick.

Fans have been virtually unanimous in their praise of the new footage, too, with many taking to social media to both share their excitement about the latest trailer and voice their frustrations at the fact It: Chapter 2 is still seven weeks away from being released.

If you’ve seen it already, which we imagine you have, you’ll know that the new trailer is dark, ominous and incredibly atmospheric, and it looks like Muschietti and his team have knocked it out of the park again. Bill Skarsgard’s take on Pennywise became instantly iconic and the actor looks set to deliver another phenomenal performance in It: Chapter Two, backed by an impressive ensemble led by James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain and Bill Hader, with the young actors from the first movie returning to play the Losers’ Club in flashbacks.
