Is Marvel Studios on the verge of releasing the first teaser trailer for Captain Marvel?

Earlier this month, it was reported that Kevin Feige and Co. had earmarked October as a potential release window for the first-look sizzle reel. But it may be with us sooner than expected.

That’s according to Grace Randolph of Beyond The Trailer, who claims that Captain Marvel‘s debut trailer is actually on course for a release next month, and will help mark a huge September for Marvel Studios that may or may not herald news about a billion-dollar cat we all know and love (i.e. Black Panther).

Perhaps we’re about to catch wind of T’Challa’s next solo adventure? It’s possible, though we’re more inclined to believe that Marvel will hold fire on any Phase 4 announcements until such a time as Avengers 4 is out in the open – otherwise it risks undercutting what many consider to be the MCU’s most crucial release thus far.

And Captain Marvel? Well, it’s only a matter of time before Marvel begins promoting its next major outing, and with reports claiming that Avengers 4 is all set to drop its first footage in November – just like Infinity War before it – one would assume that the company’s first female-fronted standalone movie will showcase its wares sooner rather than later.

Via Twitter:

This is by no means confirmed, as Grace Randolph has been pretty hit-and-miss when it comes to inside scoops. So perhaps it’s best adopting a ‘wait and see’ approach to Captain Marvel and its inevitable trailer reveal?

One thing’s for sure: the end product will be soaring into theaters on March 8th, 2019, with more ’90s nostalgia than you could shake a Tamagotchi at.
