With production well underway on the Atlanta set of Spider-Man: Homecoming, it was only a matter of time before promo material started to roll in, and while we don’t have anything official to share with you just yet, we do have a low-res photo of what appears to be the first poster for the film.
It comes to us via an Instagram user, and though it’s far from good quality, we still get a nice look at the titular hero striking a pose. Said to have appeared at a trade show in Las Vegas, it’s not clear whether or not this poster will actually be used in the film’s official marketing campaign, but we’re happy to see Spidey all decked out in his new costume regardless.
As for what we can tell you about Homecoming so far, unfortunately, there’s not much. An official synopsis did land online not too long ago though, and it reads as follows:
“A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging superhero in Spider-Man: Homecoming.”
Doesn’t get more generic than that, eh? Not to worry though, as buzz surrounding the film is extremely positive and after seeing the character debut in Civil War earlier this year, I think that most fans are confident that this new version of Spidey will be the definitive one. At least, we sure hope so. No one wants yet another reboot, right?
Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theatres on July 7th, 2017 and stars a cast that boasts Tom Holland, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Martin Starr, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., Michael Keaton, Michael Chernus, Hannibal Buress, Abraham Attah and many, many more.
