Elysium actor Diego Luna has been spending time in the galaxy far, far away shooting Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but according to THR he’ll soon be changing things up and moving to the afterlife for Sony’s planned remake of popular ’90s horror drama, Flatliners.

No details on his character have been provided just yet, but he joins the previously announced Ellen Page (X-Men: Days Of Future Past, Hard Candy), who will play the female lead.

The original film saw a team of medical students (Julia Roberts, Kiefer Sutherland, Kevin Bacon, William Baldwin and Oliver Platt) voluntarily “die” in order to experience what happens on the other side, before being resuscitated just before things get a little too permanent. As you can imagine, things don’t go according to plan and the team experience nightmarish visions as the sins of their past come back to haunt them… literally.

The Flatliners reboot will be helmed by Girl With the Dragon Tattoo director Niels Arden Oplev from a script by Source Code scribe Ben Ripley, with David Blackman and Laurence Mark on board as producers.
