Still reeling from last night’s trailer reveal? Well, if you’re still pining for more from Captain America: Civil War, Marvel has debuted a flurry of screengrabs from the first teaser that offer a play-by-play breakdown of the almighty power struggle.

It was a reveal that arrived slightly ahead of schedule, with many reports citing that both Disney and Marvel would hold back on Civil War‘s debut until the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens next month. Alas, our first look at Joe and Anthony Russo’s Phase Three showdown is out in the open, and it offers up plenty of tantalizing teases.

Thrusting Captain America (Chris Evans) into the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, last night’s snippet underlined the kind of opposition Evans’ star-spangled hero will come up against in his pursuit of Bucky Barnes. More than anything, it’s a move that knocks Cap firmly off his pedestal, with government forces – and soon Team Iron Man – on the hunt for both him and the Winter Solider.

As the trailer progresses and the action shots arrive thick and fast, the long-awaited tussle between Captain America and Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) effectively throws a spanner in the works of the Avengers line-up. This all culminates in the money shot: a three-way scrap between Stark, Rogers and Barnes. Though details of the Herculean brawl may have appeared online some months ago, there’s no denying the impact of the scene, with the near-effortless fight choreography driving home the point that, despite two movies spent on the same side, Cap and Iron Man are very much at loggerheads.

Captain America: Civil War will divide Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in a way Ultron could never have imagined when Joe and Anthony Russo’s threequel blasts into theaters on May 6, 2016. Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Jeremy Renner, Paul Bettany, Tom Holland and Paul Rudd round out the core cast list.
