20th Century Fox Animation and Blue Sky Studios have revealed the voice cast for their new 3D animated film Epic. While the title of the film may be atrociously uncreative, the members of the cast are anything but. I am truly amazed at how many stars (film and music) Fox was able to line up.

Epic, which had previously been titled Leafmen (I honestly can’t decide which title is worse), will include Beyonce Knowles, Colin FarrellThe Hunger Games‘ heartthrob Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried, Johnny Knoxville, Aziz Ansari, rapper Pitbull, Jason Sudeikis and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler.

Ice Age‘s Chris Wedge is set to direct the film with Lori Forte and Jerry Davis producing. The story involves a girl who is transported into a magical universe where an “epic” battle is taking place deep in the heart of the forest. She bands together with a fellowship of odd and interesting characters to save the world and of course, in the process, save her own world.

Epic is slated to be released on May 24th, 2013.

Whether the film is an absolute disaster or a masterpiece, I don’t really care. The members of the cast are enough to draw in a long line of fans and I for one will be there to see it on opening day.
