Just over two months out from the release of Lars Klevberg’s Child’s Play, we now have our first full body look at the new Chucky, who’ll be voiced by none other than Star Wars legend Mark Hamill.

As you can see, the latest design isn’t a radical departure from the original Brad Dourif version, though the cold, red eyes seem to reflect the more tech-oriented origins of this new take on the killer doll. On the front of his overalls, meanwhile, reads the word “Buddi” – the name of the company that manufactured this pint-sized murderer.

Even by the standards of horror remakes, the upcoming Child’s Play has been met with a fair amount of backlash. Specifically, many longtime fans are upset that the franchise is hitting the reset button without the involvement or approval of series creator Don Mancini, especially when the writer already had plans to continue the saga with a Chucky TV show. Nonetheless, the recent announcement that Hamill is lending his pipes to the main role seems to have at least earned the curiosity of a few skeptics.

The film also gives Hamill a noteworthy array of co-stars to terrorize. While Annabelle actor Gabriel Bateman is stepping into the role of 13-year-old Andy Barclay, Aubrey Plaza of Parks and Recreation and Ingrid Goes West fame plays his mother Karen. Atlanta and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse actor Brian Tyree Henry, meanwhile, plays Mike Norris, the detective charged with investigating Chucky’s string of murders.

We’ll find out just what sort of gruesome mischief the latest Chucky gets up to when Child’s Play hits theaters on June 21st, 2019. But in the meantime, it’s currently expected that another trailer is just around the corner.
