Further Details Of Captain Marvel’s CineEurope Showcase Emerge

MCU Cosmic has cut through the white noise today to provide firm details on Captain Marvel's CineEurope showcase and the future of Carol Danvers.
This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

Carol Danvers has waited a long time for her big-screen debut – too long, perhaps – but it’s looking increasingly likely that the much-anticipated Captain Marvel movie will be worth the wait. And then some.

Not only is Brie Larson’s future Avenger being hailed as the strongest character ever to grace the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but we’re now learning that Captain Marvel will become the “face” of Marvel’s juggernaut franchise in Phase 4 and beyond, which aligns with previous comments about Carol assuming a similar role to Steve Rogers – better known to you, I and the people of Brooklyn as Captain America.

And just like Avengers 4 before it, the standalone Captain Marvel movie was on the studio’s guestlist for CineEurope, where head honcho Kevin Feige took the opportunity to present some footage from the 2019 spinoff. Said to be more of a “special featurette” than anything else, the folks at MCU Cosmic have today offered some fresh intel on Marvel’s showcase.

Finally the Captain Marvel presentation did feature footage as opposed to Kevin Feige sitting in a chair the whole time, and it was meant to introduce people to Carol Danvers. The footage shown highlighted her as a character and talked about how she would become the new face and leader of the Marvel Cinematic Universe while talking a little bit about her powers and how powerful of a character she is.

Because make no mistake, with her energy projection and alien abilities, Captain Marvel is truly a force to be reckoned with, and we’ll be able to learn more about how Carol wrangles those powers under control when Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden’s origins movie arrives next year.

On the heels of Infinity War‘s teasing post-credits sequence, Captain Marvel will light up theaters all across the globe on March 8th, 2019 – a mere eight weeks before Avengers 4 arrives onto the scene.
